Did you know?: Your baby’s head has two fontanels (soft spots) where the bones have not yet come together. The largest one, on top, may take about 18 months to close. The small one, at the back of your baby’s head, closes in a month or two. A tough membrane covers both fontanels. You will not hurt your baby when you touch his (her) head or wash his (her) hair.
